WE ARE OPEN

Office hours 10am - 2pm Monday to Friday

The Centre For Deaf People is under new management and is open. There has been much speculation about possible closure. We are pleased to announce that we are working hard to ensure that services are working effectively and efficiently.

While the Centre is going through change, there may be some upheaval in the weeks ahead, however the Centre is determined to meet the needs of Deaf people in Bristol.

Of the many services provided, the Equipment service continues to provide a first class provision in Bristol.

Among the changes, BSL courses have been increased to include level 1 and level 2 courses starting in January 2012. . Please click on 'BSL Tuition' to find out about registration.

The Youth Service is headed up by Rory Mortimore. The service is funded mostly by Bristol City Council. Deaf young people from Bristol and surrounding areas benefit greatly from the service which operates during holiday and term time.

The recently developed Job Club continues to function one Tuesday every month, giving career advice CV writing techniques and job opportunities to deaf service users. Check link for Job Club dates.

Room hire has a new structure and the public have an opportunity to book rooms for functions and activities.

Click Room Hire and email roombookings@centrefordeaf.org.uk for more information on this.

We are presently updating our website, please keep in touch with developments as we bring the Centre up to date with current thinking and survival strategies.
