Centre for Deaf People Bristol

Communication Group

Needs a picture here.

The Communication Group meets in Bristol on Monday afternoons, 2pm - 4pm, and in Weston-Super-Mare on Tuesday afternoons, 1:30pm - 3:30pm. The group is for adults with learning difficulties who are Hearing Impaired, living in Bristol/South Gloucester and North Somerset.

We encourage positive use of 'Total Communication' recognising the important use of all methods of communications, including: British Sign Language, Sign-Supported English, use of voice, finger spelling, lipreading and Makaton.

We hold social/educational sessions that enable participants to take part in many different activities such as Arts and Crafts, Life Skills, games and outings to local places of interest.

The Communication Group meetings are wheel chair accessible.
